We bought this unit to hide our gaming equipt. and house the drum kit for rock band. It has worked great in both aspects. The only downside is that the posts that the drums mount on were bent out a bit and were also a bit too big to slide on the drums easily. My husband bent the poles back in and then we used wd40 to slide the drums on fully, which is a must b/c if they aren't fully seated on the mounting poles the top will catch on them (something that others have complained of in other reviews). Otherwise everything is working great and all our stuff is stored in one spot finally!

I had been eyeing the Rock Box for quite a while, as when it initially came out I thought

it was a bit spendy. Since then it has come down quite a bit in price. I finally caved

and bought it and was pleasantly surprised.

About Me: I typically play drums on hard and have a tendency to play the kit hard.

The regular rock band 2 kit has a tendency to drift on me, which I counter with a rug

and some hand weights.

The Rock Box is solidly constructed, and very easy to transition into drumming with. You can't

really tell from the description on this, but the lid doesn't come off, its on hinges that allow

it to slide forward, which i really liked since it kept everything together. One weird item not shown

in the picture is this odd thin pad that velcros to the bottom of the ottoman which is supposedly meant

to form a seat with the lid of the box. I dont see the point of this, and have put the pad in the basement.

Pros:

* Smart design, easy to take out and put away even for a lazy person like myself.

* Lots of room for other equipment, i put my two guitars, mic, mic stand in there

with no problems.

* Leather looks fine. I with they had it in the dark brown like it was originally advertised, but I

will get by with black.

* Special slots for guitars make it super easy to access them.

* No more instrument clutter!!!

Cons:

* This probably needs to be used like a coffee table considering its size, but the top is not

super firm. I'm shopping for a serving tray so that i could put drinks on it without them tipping over.

* Wooden feet could use rubber on the bottom to reduce kit slide and also to not scuff my wood floors.

* That extra seat pad thing is pointless.

* Although my mic stand fit okay since it was a straight pole, there wouldn't be a way to fit a boom

mic style stand.

* Still need to solve the kick pedal not being attached issue. As long as it is directly in front of

me its fine, but it tends to drift when off to the side. Might buy an after market replacement.

* Will not fit the add-on cymbal kit (rock box lid doesn't want to close with those attached. I hated

the add-on cymbals anyway, so this was not a problem for me. But if someone came out with add on cymbals that easily detached there is plenty of storage space for them.

I thought you'd be able to adjust the height of the drum set-you can't. It's basically just a nice storage box. Ours had a hump in the middle of the top...uniformly shaped but odd looking-don't know if that was a flaw or what. Think I'll contact the company.

Wow - $20 for what? Someone will laugh at you if you buy this - it will at least be me. I think the Nintendo Wii system works very well and for the life of me I couldn't beat my child for the first 100 plays on the video game, but that is another story. This little car has nothing to do with that except for little homunculus Mario, and the likeness of the banana, and the little red thing. If I didn't throw the box out, I would take another gander to make sure this wasn't some cleverly misspelled brand to look like the Wii, you know, like that ROLEX some people wear. OK seriously - the infrared controller does talk to the car. I could make the wheels turn. I could make the motor turn remotely, but as soon as you try to put the axle to the gear to the motor, it gets stuck. It gets stuck because someone sort of drew an idea and some sort of guy (or gal) sort of threw parts together, and sort of made the plastic sort of look like the drawing. The drive wheels are on a thin easily bent rod (you are supposed to take them in/out to switch to another). The pinion gear barely engages the reduction gear (all plastic with really really loose tolerances - think Flintstones loose, you know when the stone wheels would fly off the wood axle) and once you snap the axle in (one side at a time, yes yes I was careful), you have maybe one or two more chances of breaking whatever little plastic tabs hold the axle in and you are lucky if all the gears mesh or even inhabit the same airspace. Drive it for about 12 inches on a wood floor ("NOT on the tabletop KIDS!") with any dog hair or baby dust bunnies and it becomes a dog hair/dust remover - and a very purposeless paperweight. Clean out the now circular hair and dust, drive on a dust free environment ("ONLY on the tabletop kids") and watch as the car stops/jerks/goes, stops, then stops, then stops, then stops. You have now played out the life of this product. Throw it out and say a prayer to the environment. On the remote there is a little plastic dongle that is supposed to swing out and act as the Snap-on took kit for the car - I mean the instructions gave it hope, invested it with mighty powers. It has many intended functions to turn things and open things on the car, but it really is a little piece of formless fetal plastic that literally couldn't not stab its way out of a wet proverbial paper effin bag. The remote and the car have the greatest intentions of fun, but you will be much happier, trust me on this, staring at the picture at the top of this web page and IMAGINING all the fun you would have with this product. Go ahead. Scroll back up. Please. vroom. vrooooooooom. errrrrrr. wheeeee........!

I bought the Mario and the Yoshi remote cars. My kids are 7, 12 and 14.

They are having a lot of fun playing with these- they made a race course with paper and are racing the cars together. There is some play with controlling the cars as it isn't that precise but they are really having a blast!

Everything comes assembled and the batteries are included. The packaging is ok but for the dreaded packaging wires holding the cars in place.

I really enjoy my Wii Sports Resort. I purchased it when it first came out and I am still having fun with it. I am a kid at heart but an adult who enjoys using her Wii. I wish there were games to use the Fitness Board, but even without that, I still have a lot of fun. I enjoy the Frisbee games a lot.

There are lots of games on this Disc, including jet skiing, and wake boarding. Now those are fun! There is skydiving, flying, table tennis, and basketball one on one game play and shooting skills. There is also golf, bowling, archery, and jousting.

You can get a workout with the games if you put your heart into it. I think I left out the bicycling part, too. There is just a lot to do.

I think it was definitely worth the money. I recommend getting the motion extension for your controller, too. Wii MotionPlus Mine came with the game, so be sure to check if it does when you get yours.

I bought this for my niece for Christmas. Although I was already going there, I had it shipped to her directly, so I wouldn't have to carry it.

Anyway, Christmas morning she opens it up, and I plug it in to the family TV set. Nothing but garbage on the screen - wavy lines, wierd characters, etc. I'm pretty techy, as are her Dad & Stepdad. The three of us screwed around with it for about 30 minutes before giving up.

Since it was only $30, rather than mess around with returns, I just ordered another one, and we threw the first one out. When the second one arrived, she and her friends seemed to enjoy it.

Bottom line, don't be surprised if it either arrives DOA or doesn't work for very long. It's very poorly made. But again, for $30, what do you expect?

My son loves his new "army men." I must admit considering what is out on the market this is a fun set for him to play with. I like the different nationalities and the fact they're in different colors. I recommend the set for play, but was a bit dismayed that they are made out of a relatively fragile plastic so they are easily broken off stands if stepped on and small parts, such as German hand-grenades and rifle barrels, are easily broken. The set arrived with half a dozen or so broken parts already. Overall, the set is okay, and I only say that because of their lack of durability and price, which is a bit steep. But, as I said, my son loves them and plays with them.

I love this gun! It is so much better then anything else out there. In fact, I was working on plans to MOD/build my own gun for the Wii when I stumbled on this little beauty at the now closed Circuit City store. This gun feels right in my hand. It looks pretty cool as well, not like the other guns (cheap plastic feel).

I have logged a lot of play time with this gun so far (playing House of the Dead 2 &3 and House of the Dead Overkill) and find it very comfortable. My one small gripe is that the handle is a little short. My trigger finger and two other fingers fit fine, but my pinky just dangles. This is my only complaint, and reason why I give it only four stars. Yes, I understand it is made with children in mind, but a couple of more inches on the handle and both kids and adults could be a lot more comfortable. That said overall Great product and until there is an actual Wii gun made (like Capcom did for the Playstation)this Nerf gun is the top of the line.

While I liked the Wii Zapper, I did want a pistol-style gun as well so I searched out for an alternative that I can use. Unfortunately I did not like the alternatives for one reason or the other. Some had the trigger in the wrong place while others either had too much pull on the trigger or the trigger spring was stronger than I like (I did not like Nyko's Perfect Shot for this reason).

The Switch Shot has several advantages it shares with the Wii Zapper over the other guns. The trigger, like the Wii Zapper, only requires a light press to activate so it's easy to fire for kids or people who prefer a light trigger. Also like the Zapper, the remote holding and release mechanism is designed so that you can insert and remove the remote from the gun with minimal friction damage yet provide a secure hold on the remote during gameplay. Finally, it's the only other gun I tried that let's you keep the strap on the remote during insertion and use.

There are a few disadvantages for the Switch Shot one of which is that it's front-heavy due to where they positioned the remote in the gun. I feel with some tweaking they could have made a better-balanced gun but it is not a deal-breaker as you can overcome this by using the other hand to support the gun. One of the advantage I mentioned above, the light trigger, can be a turn-off for those who prefer the Perfect Shot's spring trigger. Also as one of the other reviewers mentioned, the mechanism that holds the remote in place does seem like it can break if you try to pull on it without pushing the release button. However, as long as you don't grab onto that part during gameplay (there shouldn't be any reason to), it shouldn't be a problem and it does seem sturdy enough when left alone.

The Switch Shot has an open area in the back that allows the Nunchuck to be attached so it is compatible with games that use Zapper-controls. It can also be converted into an actual Nerf gun which for me is a mild bonus since I don't really have a use for it other than shooting it at anyone who intrudes on my game-playing. ;) Overall I do like it a lot compared to the other guns.

Littlest Pet Shop Friends for the Wii was a huge hit in our house. My little party planner had a great time getting ready for the "party of the year" with her pet friends. This was one of those games I had to keep telling her she'd been playing too long. And, if you have kids you know that's a major indicator that the game was pretty cool. I like that it's a multi-player game that caused the kids to do some problem solving. There is a lot of reading (as mentioned in the other reviews), so be prepared to read if your child is younger than 2nd grade.

If your kid can't read proficiently, be prepared for hours of pet puns and cutesy banter that barely server to move the game along. We bought this for our 6 year old. She is just starting to read, so my husband and I find ourselves having to sit with her and read every thought bubble. The problem with this is, most conversations are full of ridiculous jokes and extra reading to make one point.

The graphics are cute, the idea (the pets throwing a surprise party for a new friend's arrival) is a good one. The scenery and games are also fun for my daughter.

While the previous Pet Shop game was mostly wandering around and playing games, this one is more task oriented. I am curious as to what lies behind the surprise party, because it will be anti-climactic if that is the end of it all. However, by then, maybe all this silly conversation will die down and more game playing will happen.

I would rather the pets talk themselves than to have a lot of reading to do. If they would like to pretend that it is helping my child read, the speech would not be as goofy and the words would be less 'cutesy'.

So sure, she loves it, we hate it.

I really thought that my 5 year old daughter would love this game, but she doesn't. It features cute little pet shop characters and since the pet shop toys are intended for kids her age, I thought the game would be too. My daughter enjoys games like Cake Mania on the PC and this game has mini games that are similar, but it is too hard for her to control and she gets upset when her time starts running out, it made her cry one time. I even had trouble keeping up on one of the mini games as I am new to the Wii and aiming is something I need to practice more. I think the game would be great for a 7 or 8 year old, but then the subject matter may be to "babyish" for kids that age, I'm not sure. I gave it 3 starts because I think that a kid who is into the Pet Shop toys and who can aim well with the Wii-mote would really enjoy this game. My kid gave it her best for about 20 minutes before giving up. We are exchanging it today for a different game.

I'm always on the lookout for Wii games that my 5-year-old granddaughter can play. This has been the biggest hit yet! She loves this game. She has played it through numerous times - collecting all the pets then starting over again. She loves dressing the pets and taking care of them. You can quickly switch from one pet to the other and then scratch, feed, and dress them. She loves all the games that are included.

The main goal is to adopt pets. You start with three pets. You earn the right to adopt more pets by playing games with the pets you have. The games are fun and can be played at any time. There are three levels (easy, medium, and hard) on every game, so they are suitable for a wide age group. I love playing some of the games. You earn "kibble" by playing games and picking up coins. The kibble is used to buy new pets, toys, and accessories. There are a variety of pets - a monkey, a polar bear, a giraffe, cats, dogs, and ponies - and they are adorable. You can go to the salon and select accessories - glasses, collars, and hats - for each pet.

There is some reading throughout the game, and each pet has to be named. She doesn't read or write, so she needs my help with those aspects of the game. Children who can read and write would need no help with this game. My granddaughter and I both love this game, and we love playing it together. I highly recommend it!

My daughter just turned 6 and is not very good at playing video games yet. She loves Mario Kart for the Wii but every other game has been too difficult for her to play by herself so she hasn't found any other games she can truly enjoy. Until now! This game is PERFECT for kids of all ages. She can play all buy herself. She is good at several of the mini games you have to play in order to earn "kibble coins" to buy new pets. She loves it. My 7 year old daughter picked this game at Gamestop (priced better on Amazon, even with reward card). We obsessively played together for three days to unlock all the new worlds (Plaza {already unlocked}, Garden, Winter, and Jungle). We collected all the 33 characters (including Giraffe {we google searched for cheat code}) along the way! All the characters are so cute and you can dress them up!

You have to complete all the mailbox tasks to progress in the game. There was only one task (asked two times) that was frustrating. You had to dress all designated characters in the same 3 accessories for a task. Then you'll want to redress them back. That was sort of a pain, but just a minor frustration in a lot of FUN!

My 5 year old son prefers Mario Kart, but he still had fun playing along with us. Now that the Littlest Pet Shop game is completed, we will enjoy playing with all the characters in the 4 different worlds with the 16 mini games. We love exploring the worlds and playing on all of the fun equipment like slides, tight rope, swings, hamster wheels, etc... You can also visit certain coin houses from time to time and collect tons of coins. These open back up periodically as you play!

I would deffinitely recommend this game for all young children! I would buy from Amazon for a few dollars cheaper too.

I bought this game for my 7 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. She loves collecting the pets and unlocking the games. Very nice graphics too. She's spent many hours playing it and I'm sure she'll play it much more in the future. Her only complaint is that it can take a long time to collect some of the pets and she gets tired of waiting.

"This design is embarrassing." 2009-10-07

This is without a doubt the worst design I have experienced from Lego. It's so poor I'm embarrassed for them. I was a faithful Lego lover in the 80's when I was a child, and am now enjoying them again with my son. We have nearly every Lego Star Wars and Indiana Jones set and most of them are decently thought out constructions, this one however, is not (the Temple of Doom is a poor design too, stay away from that set also).

Many of the large pieces and even sections are held together by just one or two Lego dots, if you gently lift and rotate it to an upside down position, or attempt to carefully transport it, there is little chance it will hold together. You may have been lucky to have gotten pieces that fit slightly more tightly than our set, when held upside down ours definitely slips apart. My son was not able to put this set together, and I enjoyed putting it together about as much as I have enjoyed constructing tedious models.

This set is not designed to the standard that I expect Lego to maintain. There is a reason why Lego is more expensive than Mega Blocks or any other Lego impostor, and it's because they have maintained a high standard over the years. This set is not at that standard. The only good thing about this set is that it does come with a lot of figures. The catapult is pretty good also.

Unless your child absolutely must have these figures I suggest spending your money on another set.

My 8 year old thoroughly enjoyed the process of putting this together. It was a great learning experience on how to follow detailed instructions and the cause and effect of not doing so. The down side is that the little pieces don't stay together well and it can be very frustrating to pretend play with it. If you are looking for something to challenge someone who is creative and likes to build and create something new all the time, it's a great toy. If you are looking for something for a Star Wars fan who likes to imagine and act out their own battles and scenes, stick with a non-Lego toy.
